Full Moon Party

Hi !

In that period of party (for me, at least), I have thought that it can be appropriate to tell about one of the most famous party of Thaïland (and even of the world)  : the Full Moon Party ! At those parties people are all wearing fluo, they enjoy their night and dance until 12 a.m. ;)

The party takes place every month when there is the full moon on the beach of Haad Rin on the island of Ko Pha Ngan since 1980. The biggests, which are mostly in summer, when the country is full (moon) of tourists, manage to gather almost 20,000 people ! At the Full Moon Party, people are mainly listening to electronic. 

The Full Moon Parties are particularly monitored by the governement for several years because, the parties are also a place where are consumed a lot of alcool... and illegal drugs!

That photo is really cool!! Now I understand why and where my brother got the fluorescent painting of a Thai beach from - I think he must have visited a beach or two!! What was your experience of communicating with the Thai people? Did you make any friends?
